Owned and operated by Beekeepers, Mountain House is a rare find on 151. While fights of their mead are available this Meadery, has so much more. Here you will find an assortment of beecentric items such as honey, beeswax, and candles. 

Monte Piccolo Farm and Distillery

Mont Piccolo is a small but charming farm and distillery which organically grows ingredients from its herb garden and orchard to harvest for its fruit brandies and varietal gins. Tours and tastings are available by appointment only.

Bold Rock may have started with humble beginnings but is now the Nation’s largest independently owned cider company. Here you can enjoy their award-winning cider and their most recent addition of hard tea, lemonade, and craft cocktails. 

Bold Rock at Carter Mountain

Start your day with Jefferson’s Montecillo then head next door to Carters Mountain where you will find Bold Rock’s satellite tap room. Here you can savor a refreshing hard cider, pick apples and take in the gorgeous mountain views.  

Blue Toad Hard Cider

Minutes from Wintergreen resort you will find this farm to tap cidery. Given the stunning views, anytime time of year is good for a visit, however, come autumn you can revel in everything fall, from hot spiced ciders to pumpkin pancakes. 

Albemarle Ciderworks

For a unique experience come to this family operated cidery for a guided heirloom apple tasting. You will taste rare Heritage apples, enjoy a glass of cider with at least one of the varieties you tasted, and take home a ½ peck of apples. 

Rockfish Brewing Company Preston

Come check out this small neighborhood taproom, parent to the downtown location. Intimate and down to earth, in this brewhouse you are more likely to encounter friendly locals. Here you can enjoy a brew with traditional pub fare and snacks.
