TechnoSonics, presented by the University of Virginia’s Composition & Computer Technologies (CCT) program, is an annual showcase of innovative electronic and acoustic music, sound art, installation, and intermedia performance. Now in its 27th year, TechnoSonics highlights original work by UVA faculty, graduate students, and special guests while exploring the creative intersection of music, technology, and the arts. Programs have featured immersive electronic soundscapes, experimental audiovisual works, interactive media, installations, and live instrumental performances.

The festival has evolved in format and timing over the years, with recent editions featuring concerts, installations, artist presentations, and other programs. TechnoSonics events provide opportunities for audiences to experience contemporary musical experimentation and the innovative work emerging from UVA’s CCT program.
