Fralin Museum of Art

WELCOME

The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia contains over 14,000 art objects. The museum encourages academic research and scholarship by engaging with the collection and providing virtual access to digital resources. European and American paintings, photographs, works on paper, African art, Asian art, Pre-Columbian art, and Native American art are among the highlights of the collection. In addition, the Museum, in partnership with other institutions, hosts a variety of exhibitions each year drawn from its permanent collection and nationwide sources. Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Upon request, the staff of the museum can conduct group tours for a range of ages, and school, and adult groups.

Only stairs lead to the main entrance, Bayly Drive at the back of the building offers a fully-accessible entrance with a limited number of accessible parking spaces and a few regular parking spaces may be reserved and used with permission from museum staff. Hourly parking is available in Culbreth Garage paid via ParkMobile. FREE after 5 pm and on weekends.
