Featuring

From Slavery to Freedom Tour

This is a special 2.5 hour, guided, interactive tour with a focus on slavery at Monticello through the perspectives of enslaved people. The tour begins at the house, then onto the grounds, and ends at Mulberry Row.

The Visitors Center

Before your tour of Jefferson’s home check out The David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center and Smith Education Center which offers unique shopping, video, exhibits, information, and an interactive discovery room for children.

Check the calendar for dedicated events. On Holidays join a wreath making workshop or enjoy an evening tour. July 4th is particularly exciting as you can watch individuals take the Oath of Citizenship to become Americans.
