Peabody Hall is a historic University of Virginia building located near the Lawn and Newcomb Hall. Built with support from the Peabody Education Fund, established by philanthropist George Peabody, the building was originally associated with UVA’s Department of Education.

Today, Peabody Hall serves as an important center for student services and admissions. It is home to the Office of Undergraduate Admission, which assists prospective undergraduate, transfer, and international students, as well as Dean of Students and Orientation & Transition Programs.

For prospective students and families visiting UVA, Peabody Hall is also an important starting point for university tours and admissions-related visits. The building’s prominent location near the Lawn places it within easy walking distance of many of the University’s historic landmarks and visitor destinations.
